As shown in 545 from a multiple amount of sources, Yhwach actually says 'reclaim' the world, meaning that he feels as if it was taken away from him. So who do you think was the original and true 'king'? Yhwach or Soul King?

The soulking is for all purposes god in the bleach world. Yhwach got defeated by yamamoto years back. I don't think you can even compare the two.

But Yhwach said 'reclaim' the world. Also it was around this time that his powers were sealed, who's to say that his powers were weakened at the time?

Yhwach was always the Quincy king. But we don't know why he's powers were completely diminished and leaving him known as the "Sealed King".
