Notice that the Hachibi was swallowed as a beast. This means that Bee was basically eaten by the Gedo Mazo. It is uncertain if this was fatal. It could even be that he's alive bit simply stuck. Wouldn't be surprised if he's still alive in the Gedo. Somehow saving Atsui and Samui.
