So when will the manga resume again? Your thoughts about the current situation?

The last chapter of HxH (349) was officially released on 11/8/14 in the double issue 37/38. Ever since then, Togashi has been on a hiatus due to back pain.

The next issue (#45) will come out on 6/10/2014 and we know there won't be a HxH chapter in that issue since it didn't come out this week (the illegal version of the chapter is leaked and uploaded online before the official, legal version is released). It is confirmed that we won't get a chapter next week as part of issue #46:

That means Togashi's hiatus will be 9 weeks long in total, by then. Crazy, huh? Yet, we don't even know when this streak will end. U_U

I actually don't mind the break because his health is the number one priority but you'd expect him or WSJ to give us another update by now. I just hope Togashi doesn't end his manga as it is now due to his illness. The Dark Continent arc has so far been amazing and has potential to be the best arc of HxH. I'd be very disappointed if he couldn't finish his manga, heck this arc alone.

He isn't having back problems anymore, it's just the same thing that happened with YYH. He is tired of writing and has never enjoyed it so he takes major breaks and wraps the manga up faster than he normally would have

I say beginning of next year. Then after that he'll just abandon the manga after a few chapters. I have no hope for HxH as much as I love it. Togashi is just that bad

He is one chapter away from completing a volume, this break will not last a long time (for Togashi standards). He obviously has passion for his series, just look at the build-up he has done in the 9 chapters he released and how many sub plots he has going on this arc. The Zodiacs, Beyond and his boys, Kakin and their princes, Kurapika with his own agenda, Ging and Pariston. This is shaping up to be an amazing arc, it will just take 5-10 years to finish it.

He will probably be back in 2/3 months, perhaps even sooner then that. It looks like Jump is pushing him to come back as soon as possible, HxH is still in the line-up and they gave 2/3 statements already. Something they never done before to my knowledge.

I was guessing it would take him about 8 weeks till he returned. Obviously that time span has been passed. However I will not say I am mad at Togashi for doing this, even if it isn't or wasnt back pain related before. I think it's wrong for him to have to put out a chapter every week. I know if I was a manga writer I would like to go at my own pace. It's my story so I should be able to work on it whenever I want. I would rather wait a long time for a good story rather than get a rushed story. HxH has potential to go down as one of the best Shonen mangas ever, if not the best, if Togashi keeps up this quality of work and art.Sure I am dissapointed I have to wait but it's not that serious. It's not as if I am paying for the chapters now, or have paid for the chapters that are yet to be written/published. I can understand the frustration of the fans who have been going through this since day 1.
