So, what's the verdict on Naruto Storm Revolutions?

I don't know if I'll like it or not.

If it helps, I thought Naruto Storm 3 was a huge let down and really repetitive. Is this one any better?

Did you like Storm Generations? Revolutions is more or less the EXACT same game as Generations just with new characters and a slightly better campaign mode [with the ninja tournament]. I personally know the game is filler until Storm 4 drops, so I won't even touch it. But if you liked Generations you'll like Revolutions. If not, well then you won't.

Not dropping $60 bucks on another mess.

it still has the retarded sub bar which i honestly don't see the point in as all it does is makes you vulnerable to a spam attack, they need to go back to how storm 2 was with subs using chakra as that would help balance chakra dashing spam as both subs and chakra dashing use chakra and it will make people think before doing one or the other

unless storm 4 really fixes this i probably won't buy it, unless it actually has a legit free roam mode

on a side note
what i would love them to do instead would to be go back to the original ultimate ninja games

False. The game's combat system has received a lot of changes since generations. The new movesets are crazy, too

I hate balance types. Hated them since they were introduced. They just need to scrap them altogether, it's so unfair.

I also dislike the fact that Ultimate and Awakening are now separate, I liked being able to use both.

One major thing that I also dislike is that fact that everyone double jumps when fighting. Hardly any combos involved anymore.

Counters can get annoying.

Other than that, the game is great.

Combat is refined

Cast is good, especially the new ones.

Team Jutsus are nice.

What are balance types?

It's when you block and your support also add an extra layer of defense. So if you chakra dash into them, it won't hit your opponent and it will leave you open for an attack.

It's also when your support attack and throw shuriken along with you and can substitute for you if you get hit by an ultimate.

Oh, yeah. That's incredibly broken.

Gives no incentive to use Defense/Offense supports.

This is the last Storm game numb-nuts.

This game is like generations, and everyone knows it had the best online out of all storm games so far. This game has a new battle system and format where you can pick either 1 of 3 modes that were usually just combined into 1 in the past games and everyone would always complain about being overpowered. So now you are nerved to only having either an Ougi, an awakening, or using supports along with a sealing jutsu.

Almost all the characters (The ones who matter) Have new awakening actions and move sets/ glitches/ etc have been taken care of and balanced.

Theres also new Team Ultimate jutsus for certain character teams like Obito/Madara, Team 7, Akatsuki members, etc.

The ninja escapades are quick but if you're a fan of the series you'll enjoy it, and the World tournament mode is pretty fun but can get repetitive and is a lil too easy.

My favorite addition is the customized characters. As you go along the story or play online you'll fight these things called "Network clones" which is a customized character (minato for example) made by another person and they'll have boosted stats based on however you beef them up. Its a nice fun challenge of your skill since your attacks are a lot weaker and theres are boosted by almost double. And if you win you get 1 item they have, like if they have an Anbu mask you'll get that Anbu mask.

You usually get the items by buying them with medals you get from World tournament mode. But aint nobody got time for dat.

Anyways, this is defienetly the freshest storm game of the series and is definitely the most different. If you want a story mode you'll be disappointed but if you enjoy online play then this game is for you.

This isn't the last storm game. This has never been stated.

I know the combat system has changed. I should have clarified what I meant when I said its the exact same game as Generations. Generations was used as a "beta" platform of sorts for Storm 3. What CC2 did was after Storm 2 came out they began work on Storm 3. What they did in the beginning of the development cycle however was they split their development team in two: one team continued work on Storm 3 while the other team began doing things like updating the combat mechanics with feedback from Storm 2 and the community, adding new characters, and so on. This second development team went on to make Storm Generations, which was mainly released as a test for consumers to see how they'd react to the changes in combat and more feedback. After Generations came out the two development teams merged back into one and they created Storm 3 with the feedback left from Generations.

Storm Revolutions is the EXACT SAME development model as Generations was. They're tweaking the combat system, adding some new characters so they can sell the game to consumers, but in the end Revolutions is just a beta to Storm 4, which by my predictions will have some of the biggest changes the Storm games have had thus far. Storm 4 will likely be a next gen exclusive, or at the very least will utilize the next gen consoles capabilities. The tournament mode in Revolution is a 1v3 system; this is likely another "beta" for a coop feature in Storm 4 featuring 2v2 battles. Revolution also features an "open world" campaign mode similar to that of Storm 2/3 only larger [I think its larger at least, I haven't played the game]. This also I believe is in preparation of Storm 4 which will likely feature a full on open world mode similar to Storm 1 did. Or at the very least will have a much more expansive world to explore in the fashion of Storm 2/3. The boss battles will be even bigger than Storm 3 [not just because of the current consoles, but because of the events of the manga]. The game will wrap up the series, as the manga is drawing to a close and will likely be over by the time the game is even announced. All in all, if there was any Naruto game to keep an eye out for it'd be Storm 4.

Yes it has

Then find the article which this was stated.

There was a typo in Saiyanisland where people mistook "latest storm game" for "last storm game"

Also the storm series sells well for an anime-based game and is primary income for CC2. They're not going to stop making it unless it stops selling.
