So what was the purpose of keeping all 5 Kage alive?

At least one of them should really have died. If Kishi kills them off now it would look weird as to how they've been defeated twice in a row, losing the 'suspense' factor. Sure we would get Tsunade meeting Hashirama and Ay meeting Minato but why was Onoki kept alive? What's their purpose?

I guess they could be of help against juubito as a team, that's about the only explanation I can come up with. I even doubt that though, since not even bee or guy are helping and they're around the same level.

yeah I know that Madara recognized their will and powers, but a lot of people say that they're fodders since they lost to Madara 5 vs. 1, they lost tremendously and left half dead.. a big shame on their titles, so now I think they're coming back ro reclaim their pride as Kages..
