I mean there seems to be no conflict in the ninja world, at least not between the five shinobi nations. Who the heck knows what's going on with the smaller countries and the samurai country. Honestly, it seems like there's "peace" because the other four shinobi are afraid of naruto & sasuke but oh well. What do y'all think?

Basically, everyone is just playing nice because they trust each other having fought together. There really was no answer, and war will probably pop right back up once Naruto and the other Kages die and some other issue pops up. :|

But who knows, if Sasuke becomes immortal he might be a big enough threat to keep the nations in place

Friendship and cooperation. He is the strongest person tied with Sasuke, both from the same village, and has a genius adviser. Naruto hates war, and is very charismatic with the TnJ. Not to mention he saved the world and earned everyone's respect.

The 5 great nations are on great terms and it was probably easy for them together to bring peace to the smaller nations.

I haven't come across any hero in fiction that actually isn't hypocritical aside from a handful...and even those handful can't be considered heroes according to mainstream standards but they are true to themselves.

Conflict in goals is the reason for the lack of cooperation. Not every one turns into a hermit/naruto and seek peace. Naruto himself has never accepted that the idea of evil exists and that evil people actually exist in the world and not just that are forced by tragedy in their lives.

That's why they all share a COMMON goal now. Not everyone became a saint but the devils mellowed out, meaning to stigmas. Where the evil peeps at tho? Ah yes. Dead. Not saying it's perfect but future criminals will just be instantly jailed/killed as society/the police will see it as attempted disturbance of the peace and conspiracy to sabotage relations between the nations.

The kage were always super powerful compared to regular criminals so that's obviously not the main reason. Indra settled his butthurt. The Uchiha were mostly exterminated and the remaining are considered heroes so no discrimination. No more akatsuki either.

Trying to understand and trust each other is the answer. Boruto the movie proves it. There was no need for the other kages to go and help rescue Naruto, yet they did. So it quite clear that Naruto has created a bond of trust and friendship with other nations. Will it last forever? Who knows. But for now the five great nations are at peace and seem to cooperate with other.
