thats what im saying though. The oens who got trained by the animals, those animals got trained by the sage. hashirama has the original sage mode because he is pure senju, just like the younger son, i believe the younger son had this sage mode as well. the animal sage modes are limited.

Well Don't take this as an offence but sage mode All it does is you absorb natural energy just like the jyubbi does and just like uchihas need that requirment to unlock the mangekyou the senju actually need training to maintain the balance of the chakra so their body doesn't transform however what you don't seem to know is that naruto turns in to frog because he was absorbing natural energy at the frog s place you know that water that gives you sage energy But it doesn't work on the outside places ? pa explained it to naruto animals are not restricted to sage mode its your body that sets the sage mode limits the jyubbi for example has far more bigger limits than naruto .. kurama has also bigger space too keep his sage chakra than naruto however kurama has smaller space than jyubbi your body just defines how much you control the animals have nothing to do with it XD but good theory anyways

- It is never stated that Hashirama didn't train to have mastery over his Sage Mode.

And a support for the rebuttal:

- Hashirama Senju has high physical energy and great lifeforce, that's a given.
- Chakra reserves depends on physical energy and spiritual energy. Hashirama has huge physical energy, but he has moderate spiritual energy as much. Telling that he also had big spiritual energy would be like telling that Hashirama had an Uchiha as an ancestor, that's a contradiction.

It seems like his Yang chakra abilities (regeneration and life) were enhaced by the Sage mode, but without that amplification, he isn't the great thing.

Ah, but lifeforce and chakra are two separate things.

Lifeforce is a yang property that gives the user the ability to give life or regeneration.

Chakra is spiritual + physical energy.

But if you were talking about lifeforce, that's all good.
