Although Itachi Uses the Sword and Shield with his susanoo it is never stated that it needs to be used in that particular way. Hitting Susanoo wont necessarily repel the shield. If the sword hits yata it would likely just be like any other sword.

Yata Mirror is completely Immune and will reflect ANY and all attacks. Ninjustu, Taijutsu, Senjutsu, Genjutsu ect.
