Naruto and Sasuke are far too powerful right now. Once the Edo Hokages depart to the afterlife only Madara is really capable of defeating these two perhaps Orochimaru depending on what he does. But other than that the only main fights left are Against Madara and Naruto VS Sasuke. no one else can really compete.

Not so sure myself. The Hokage title is just a plot device it's kind of like "The Worlds Strongest Man" contest in DBZ. Goku always wanted to win but ultimately it doesn't matter. Short of an Olympic title holder, how often in life does the best truly hold the title of "The Best" and even that is just a matter of the moment and conditions at that time. Who knows? Usually these people are too wrapped up in what it is they are doing to concern themselves with pursuing a title. It's who you are, what actions you take and how you live that define you not the title.

This is it, once Madara is defeated. At most we will get a flash forward to years after the end of the war to find out what happens to everyone.

we are....possibly. I think this arc is an alternate reality and we are going to get questions answered possibly and see some different "alternate" outcomes to stuff (like maybe Rin/Obito living or the Uchiha masscre not happening, or Hashi not becoming the first hokage...stuff like that). This could change the entire setting of the manga thus far in some ways! I do think this is either the final arc and we get an epilogue or we get this one and then a final short arc finishing up some business
