[Question] So wait a sec...Is 'attack on titans' everyone's new favorite anime/series now?

Emotional scenes feel forced at times it isn't needed, Poorly developed characters, so the solution is to kill them off, MC is one of the worst characters, plot is another survival of the fittest type story, which is actually a weaker point than a strong one. The only thing holding this anime up is it's animation and art. Not to mention, the method of killing a Titan feels like a contradiction to the regeneration. I have tons of problems with this show.

most of this again is your opinion but i do agree with you that the titans regenerating is somewhat ridiculous(although i think thats what makes the anime so frightening...otherwise they could kill titans with ur ordinary cannon fire or etc)...im sure they'll explain that later on in the series. however the method of killing the titans is pretty cool. i mean given the way the titans are built and their size i think making them close to immortal is the reason why this series is pretty cool..its wayy more interesting than ur run of the mill zombie apocalypse....this is a "titan apocalypse" if that makes any sense

if the manga was that "bad" then it will never get animated in the 1st place

But i never said it was "bad"=D i said i was glad i found the anime first. what u said still is true

calling my statement odd is the same thing as calling the manga is bad compared to the anime,
what i said is true in general, those who said the anime is better is the one who watch the anime 1st before reading the manga.

i think it's just too emotionally intense(it makes me laugh even though it's not intended too) for people....not for me though i find it funny

not necessarily, i said i was glad i saw the anime first cuz thats what got me into the series..after the anime i saw some of the manga and i must say it most likely wouldve just been something i would read once and forget to read again...but i wouldnt know for sure cuz i didnt see the manga first =D

i saw the anime and it made me want to read the manga....they are different the anime did a better job with time....in the manga they skipped some stuff and went back to it. for example episode 3 was like chapter 16 in the manga with the whole learning how to use the 3d gear.

I don't mean Titans regenerating, I mean how they can regenerate yet a shot to the neck is what kills them.

We are only 8 episodes into the Anime. How much development were you really expecting?

That's the thing, we will never see them developed because they are always killed off, and even 8 episodes in, I expect development. The character development has been given to Mikasa ONLY. Somewhat Armin, too. But very little.

i mean what else do u want it to be? the recon's swords are thin, sharp blades, did u want it to be a shot to the eye or the heart? if the titans regenerate then they would regenerate a new heart or eye, right?...i get where ur going with this but what else makes more sense then what the writers already came up with? ur not nitpicking are u??

Manga is already very good but the Anime with the animations, realistic character behaviors and great OST is over the top, 10/10!



Sadly the Manga only comes out monthly..that drives me crazy. Beeing spoiled from Naruto with weekly releases thats pretty hard to get used to. I will probably start reading 10 pages a week or 20 pages every two weeks..splitting the pages up to fool myself and make the waiting easier=D
Atleast the weekly Anime helps alot to endure the waiting.

Yeah easily a 9/10 there hasn't been enough episodes to give it a 10 yet but it has the potential. At the end of episode 5 I was sitting there, speechless, for like 30secs. I really like the slight horror aspect that they give to it the titans are really creepy

Also, question for the manga readers. Without spoiling anything, does the story get crazier/better? I can't imagine it being any better than it is now.

Will the story get crazier? Definitely. Its gone apeshit the recent chapter=D
Many questions came up and interesting revealings were made in the latest chapters.

Will it get better? Well depends from person to person. I can just say that I really liked everything that happened till now.

I just couldnt stand the wait after watching the 8 Episodes and started reading the Manga right after that (in one go=D), it was totally worth it. Now Im eager to see the chapters getting animated and Im really looking forward to the next Manga chapter (gonna come out in ~4 days) because it should deliver a few answers. But the monthly wait is just torture..

I just watched all 9 episodes this weekend. Parts can be slow but when the action happens you don't want it to end.
