Maybe you are denying the fact that Kishi built Madara for a reason - that is Madara was build to bring back Kaguya. Besides, Kishi is saying that Madara has always been manipulated by Kaguya, and that Madara was not special. He was just as ignorant as Obito and Kaguya took advantage of his darkness and frustration just as Madara himself was thinking he took advantage of Obito's hatred. If you look at it this way, you will understand that Kishi did a great job.
