I thought it was stated at some point either in the manga or in interviews, it might of just been theorized here on the forums due to the arm and leg being gone.

From what I saw it looked like he has chakra guns embedded in his chest that he can fire some sort of Jutsu from? Idk it just feels way too Terminator for me.

That’s a good point. Wouldn’t be surprised if he reveals some sort of Water Style he surrounded himself with to absorb the explosion of the 10 Tails. Was enough to keep him alive but still suffered limb loss and burns.
