um, I do hope you realise that being a reincarnation does NOT make you identical to said person. There may be some similarities though.

there has always been a naruto. in this manga what the sage meant by reincarnation was more along the lines of their chakra possessed their bodies. so they are still themself, with their own personality which is dictated by their experiences. which is probably why the sage was suprised by how similar naruto was to ashura, because hashirama technically wasn't.

Sasuke seeked power only for himself (to kill itachi)
Naruto seeked power for the village sake and even though it was for his sake he didnt do it for only his good.
