Also bad eyesight can be developed through playing games in the dark, reading in the dark, and watching TV nearsighted.

I don't remember Sasuke's parents or Sakura's (although filler) parents needing glasses.

So either Salad had a birth defect or some kind of astigmatism manifested while she was young. The amount of ppl in the NV can be counted on one hand and for her of all kids to require with Glasses is too ironic.
