I can see why it is, he's killing off the sternritters in like 1-2 chapters :erm: This part of the arc feels weird to me, I don't wanna say it's rushed because what reason does Kubo have to rush for honestly, but up until now most of the sternritters death are really unsatisfying imo and the only one so far to get a backstory to how they met Juha and how their powers tie in with them personally is As Nodt from what I remember.

The problem that I have is that I honestly feel it was too late in the story to introduce a new villain group and have SS go to war with that them. Usually in most manga there's a build up when the villain group appears but in bleach the sternritters just declared war as soon as they appeared. The was no build up to give it more excitement. Kudo introduced too many characters too soon and killed most of them off just as quickly so we didn't get a connection to them and most of their deaths were unsatisfying because so.

Also Kudo's pacing has been all over the place lately, I can't tell if he's rushing or stalling most of the time...All in all This arc is still fairly enjoyable and keeps me entertained for the most part. There are just a few minor things that could of been handled better.

good point but kubo had foreshadowed the conflict between quincy and shinigami since the first arc when ishida met mayuri. So, it didn't come out of left field but he could've done something like making all the other conflicts in bleach stem from the quincy.

They could've been the evil operating from the shadows until their final confrontation. That perhaps would have added more meaning to it.

He did introduce way too many characters and that caused the problem of fights being taken care of off screen and whatnot. I would have loved a backstory for most if not all the sternritters and how they met Juha in a desperate situation like As Nodt, but nope :eww:
