Heals very fast maybe. but the guy just had a freaking lightning blade cut pierce him. But, yeah, no kidding, we saw Kyuubi healing Naruto from a similar injury.

On the otherhand, Kakashi couldn't be unaware of this. I mean, would Kakashi just rush in to a kill and be killed battle knowing that his opponent will easily heal and leave Kakashi for death?
