I'm still confused as to how Shin(s) have a Sharingan without being being from the Uchiha clan.

They bare the last name Uchiha. I'm assuming that their original actually was from the Uchiha clan. They can activate and deactivate it...so idk.

They are all exact genetic clones of the original shin who was experimented on by orochi

I'm not really sure. Maybe these clones got sharingan added to their dna or something but then awakening sharingan is very rare...

i hadn't caught up with the movie info yet..

I really hoped kishi would've made oro the final villain, that whole shippuuden was just about showing the potential (kaguya) and the info for oro to create the ultimate body for himself and be the final villain.
