Yes he's resistant to genjutsu because he only has a heart. Him beating itachi is 50/50. Itachi can't use genjutsu, fire and Amaterasu get blocked by iron sand and itachi would have to totsuka his heart container not just the body to win. Ic itachi would have to go through his normal battle plan then use susanoo and hope the floor under him wasn't littered with poisoned tools that could kill him just as easily as he could kill sasori with totsuka. Also does anyone really think an almost blind man can see and keep track of thousands of poisoned needles launched at him and stuck in the floor? All that having been said he's itachi he could potentially win.
