so does anyone else think Rukia can be a potential captain in the future? I mean she already seems stronger than some current ones and Sode no shirayuki seems haxed and she is still far from mastering both her shikai and her bankai people want to say her sword is the best ice/snow Zanpakutō but actually it's more of a temperature manipulation sword than anything

as a side note is anybody disappointed with Hisagi I mean him and the Vizard captains keep getting shitted on in the story

Probably, her and Renji will most likely become captains sooner or later.

I just hate these sh*tty villians with these messed up powers that are taking down the captains and vice captains. At least the espada were cool and badass.

I'll be happy for Rukia to become a captain, but only in the distant future. You'll notice that Byakuya negged three Sternritter with minimal use of Shikai, while it took Rukia's Bankai to kill As Nodt in Vollstandig. Huge difference in power.

As for Hisagi, I don't really mind. He still killed one Sternritter, and in case you didn't notice that he has received absolutely no RG training, that is actually pretty good for pre RGT Shinigami of Vice-Captain level.

He wouldn't fit the position of captain. He may possess the strength, but he just wouldn't fit as a captain, his character prevents him from truly becoming one.

Rukia is still not material for captain. Except for strength she still don't have mind for that. Just a week ago, she was so nervous about Vice Captain meeting.

Tho, I don't believe that there will exist captain position after war.
Wandenreich was formed after their defeat 1000 years ago, in order to rival Gotei 13 (you see that by 26 SR - 13 captains and 13 vice captains, soldats/jagdarmee - other shinigamis).
So why was Gotei 13 created? Gotei was formed just 1000 years ago, but for what purpose? 1000 years ago they were in war with Quincies, coincidence? I don't think so. Gotei was created for the purpose of fighting Quincies and later Wandenreich is created in order to rival Gotei 13.

After Gotei by the end of series wins against Wandenreich, Gotei will come to an end, and shinigami will just be 'balancers' like they were before creation of Gotei.

Rukia could easily replace some of the less competent captains. Like Hitsugaya. Or those Visoreds. If she survives this war, she'll be enough of an icon to be recognized by the minor members of Gotei and accepted by them as a leader.

Renji is a more suitable Captain than Hisagi and Rukia as well. I can see Renji becoming Captain at the end of the series and Rukia being one in the future, she's too green to attain the position just yet, Hisagi will be Captain in like 50 years or a Century lel.

I see Ichigo becoming the captain of the 8th division succeeding Shunsui, I mean a captains job is to protect and it's what Ichigo loves doing most.

I see Rukia becoming the captain of the 13th division succeeding her current captain.

I also think that ichigo can become a replacement captain if toshiro died, so he can become the successor of his father's division
