I mean the whole story is about teamwork and not trying to to anything individually, at least from one perspective. Naruto is a brilliant example of this. After all, he's the main character and his feats, small or big, includes teamwork and others helping him in a way or another. Even Itachi himself told Naruto not to try to do everything on his own cause as he himself stated: "in the past I tried to do anything on my own and at last I failed". Yeah, maybe you say by this statement, Itachi meant his life and decisions toward Sasuke. But anything said by a person reflects his/her attitude. So It shows his try-to-do-anything-on-his-own way of life. Under such circumstances, I think it's so ridiculous to talk about soloing and on top of that, going on fire to favor someone's soloing when the whole story is about negating soloing and supporting teamwork and when the ones claimed and favored by members as solo king themselves are negating this.

I mean it is not wrong to say some characters can solo others. I mean there are few one on one fights in the manga where both sides are fighting each other without one side being handicapped. Maybe pain vs jman or Tobi vs konan, but even the latter had konan using a jutsu that she prepared beforehand. However for the sake of debate one character vs another one must decide which is better in a solo fight.
