Poor Obito, being deprived of his left eye... Take it back! Even though that would mean no counter to his jutsu and Kakashi is one of my favorite characters, I don't really mean it.

It's not even that he would be overpowered; it's just that he mainly has 2 pretty much perfected skills with no flaws: 1 jutsu, and hand-to-hand combat.

Since he got tooken down by Obito, like he said, his whole body was rendered useless. Since then, the most he was capable of doing was using that single jutsu to transport, turn transparent (I know about the dimensional thing, but let's just call it transparency), and fight hand to hand. He's undoubtedly the most hand to hand and skilled, and I say this because of the practice and training since that fight he must have put in to still consider himself a threat to the masses.

We already saw how perfect he is at taking on 1 opponent face to face, and another throwing ninja tools like kunai's at him from a distance. So he should have to problem taking on anybody besides Kakashi (because of the eye thing).

The question I have is; if Obito didn't get crushed during that war and went back to Konoha, unlocked mangekyou in both eyes would he have ever been a contender for the kage title. (5th Hokage, first Uchiha Hokage)

Obito should have teleported into Kakashi's room one day and stolen his eye back. Tries to steal Shisui's eye from Danzou, but not his own back? I'd want my eye back on principle alone!
