Good point...but regardless he might or might not. Yamato used Mokuton by moldig suiton in one hand and doton in the other....Obito was only seen using Mokuton from that one arm (against the mist he had a Zetsu coating). So if he uses any standard Mokuton tech then I'd say yes he can...until then I'm skeptical. Of course I'm going off of him before the Rinnegan.

Well he has the artificial body of Hashirama you know. And props to the guy above me he has the Rinnegan which allows a user to use all elemental techniques(which I knew already but he said it first) :/

Also, like zetsu and unlike any other mokuton user, he seems to produce roots, where yamato creates 2x4s and wooden beams and hashirama and madara create trees.

Well i think the one arm Mokuton makes it easier to attack in close range combat. I believe it's the reason why he uses it, but he has shown to be able to use jutsus as well:

We knew Obito had Doton already, he used ''hiding in the ground jutsu'' several times. and also burried Deideras bombs with the Sasuke fight.

with rinnegan he theoretically can use anything. hes already used doton against sasuke.
suiton is basic and obito may have used it to take down the 3 tails.
