A lot of what I like about Sasuke's combat style is that it's very direct, throwing himself into the midst of battle and just doing it... whilst throwing some strategy in the mix as he does it.

It's funny cause he developed that level of improv so he could stand a chance against Itachi's strategic feats

Hidan has no abilities bar his ability to draw blood and start the Jutsu. Temari hardly has any long list of Ninjutsus as well. Therefore, it's limited resources against limited resources. Mind you, Sasuke lured Orochimaru into a trap successfully when he was only 12. That feat is on another level compared to anything Shikamaru has done. As it's easy to fool fools, but it's impossible to fool geniuses. Shikamaru has always been intellectually far superior than his opponents. Sasuke defeated a Root Leader with nothing but intellect and strategies alone. Name the smartest opponent Shikamaru has faced and defeated? Your answer lies in this question.
