That is the point of the manga, actually.

Remember Sakura talking with the random fodder about it...
Random fodder: "Blah, blah blah... We're not special like Naruto. There's nothing we can do about it!"

Naruto fighting and defeating Obito by himself would actually be a bad development for the manga.
It'd only satisfy some fans. And that would be it.

Naruto being alone and then having people at his side later on is one of the things this manga is about.

Sad, but that's the truth.

And besides, after Itachi's speech about letting his comrades help him, I doubt Naruto's going to have any more 1v1s.
