Madara's vision of infinite tsukuyomi (without the Zetsu transformations) would have been perfect.

You may say, "what fun is life when it's just handed to you", but that is easy for you to say if your life is even moderately decent.

However, tell that to children born into empoverished families in 3rd world nation's and who lose their parents and essentially have no way to really rise up and make their lives any better.

Tell that to people whose entire lives are screwed over by things they can't control! How about those Jews in WWII who were placed in death camps just for being a certain race/religion? What about the kids among those Jews who didn't even have the power or knowledge to try and escape the country or anything like that?

How about those Japanese preschoolers who were just sitting in class one day and then they suddenly got obliterated by atomic bombs (due to being in Hiroshima or Nagasaki during the war)?

What would you tell those people?

You may be fine with telling people to just accept their lot in life, and to just resign to whatever screwovers and suffering comes their way.

However, people like Madara and I don't believe in just taking the pain and resigning to being a loser in life. Problems must be destroyed!

Long live the alternate infinite tsukuyomi (by alternate, I mean Madara's vision of it where you don't die and turn into a Zetsu, and you just live forever in eternal happiness)!

Long live Madara Uchiha!
That’s a bit much no?

paraphrasing but basically madara was trying to inception everyone but in reality they wouldve all died. ending all dreams and the extinction of the human race. rise of the planet of the White zetus. madara had good intentions but bad approach. he prolly wouldnt have done what he did if he knew what the tech was intended for. as he gets karma-ed for trolling kabuto for using forbbiden techs.....

all in all the whole story was based on good and bad. one cant live without the other, and only when both work together peace is achieved. taking out one or the other is also impossible as thier will always be two sides or how Aristotle puts it, the golden MEAN or golden middle way is the desirable middle between two extremes, one of excess and the other of deficiency. madara just leand on the crazy side...

This long post is cool and all but:

Given the fact he absolutely didn’t anticipate Zetsu using him as a medium for his mother.

His plan was doomed to fail as Hagoromo predicted. Those impoverished children or whatever would have lived their short lives even shorter as they were turned into monsters and eventually killed by momoshiki and the other clan members.

Not everyone in this world is born in good situations. But the world of Naruto and The actual world is very different.

The world isn’t perfect but it’s life. Rejection of reality is what was Obito’s downfall. Run died, he rejected literally everything to create a fairytale world where she’s alive. Madara failed to endure and was manipulated into reviving something that should have never seen the light of day.

IT was never intended for its purpose and these humans trying to play god resulted in a literal monster almost making humanity extinct.

No they wouldn’t, it’s a genjutsu, like KA except on steroids that preys on your deepest desires.

It’s basically massive siren call.

Naruto vehemently rejected the concept, but if he was caught, he would have been forced into it.

It’s not authentic if it’s a genjutsu just because the victim doesn’t understand what’s happening to them doesn’t make it real.

It’s real to them, maybe but to the ones unaffected, they’re cocooned and brainwashed.

Did you watch matrix?
Terrible comparison because in the Matrix, everyone’s lives were tied together and everyone can affect one another for better and for worse. Neo literally hated his life which is why that’s also a bad comparison.

In the Infinite Tskuyoumi, each person has their own dedicated genjutsu which fulfills their deepest desires, where absolutely no outside party or force could ruin it for them. Additionally they have absolutely no idea that it’s not the real thing. As the genjutsu is in effect, that becomes their reality as far as their minds are concerned. Simple as that.

The cycle of hatred came to an end.
The Bijuus as a weapon was resolved.
The war between villages is no more.

The problems of Naruto era were solved, everything that is bound to happen, has a different origin. So no, they didn't die for nothing.
This.

Also IT wasn’t a solution, thus making it a failure.

Just because that becomes their reality doesn’t mean it’s real. Madara was going to end humanity and leave husks for Kaguya to use once Zetsu betrayal began.

His IT was doomed to fail. However well the intent was.

It is a genjutsu, not something that alters reality. It lets you indulge in dreams until you’re turned into an abomination. Naruto literally felt everyone asking for help with fear. That wasn’t what they wanted. It was forced into them.

@Bold: It literally does though.
Again, it’s a divine genjutsu that lasts until the caster decides otherwise; it’s not comparable to any other genjutsu aside from the standard Tskuyomi in relation to time and advanced sensory manipulation. If the mind and body can’t discern that they’re in a genjutsu then that’s reality. The genjutsu can create respectively customized simulations for the victims, including reviving deceased loved ones.

We’re just talking in circles at this point but I’ve made my point.

It isn’t real. The reality is that they are cacooned by the tree no matter what their dreams portray.

Just because the mind and body cannot differentiate doesn’t mate it reality. Naruto and Sasuke weren’t in IT as were the Edos. The reality was that they were under genjutsu to everyone except the victims.

Genjutsu is genjutsu at the end of the day. It doesn’t alter reality or warp it. That’s not how it functions.

It preys on the mind which effects the body.
