For those of you who play World of Warcraft, similarly to me, I would like to know your opinions on the new expansion announced earlier, Warlords of Draenor.
My opinion? I CAN'T WAIT.
Awesome things:
My opinion? I CAN'T WAIT.
Awesome things:
- NEW CHARACTER MODELS. Seriously, I've been waiting for god knows how long for a reskinning of some races... Undead and Orcs and most vanilla races looked kinda derpy in comparison to the newer races
- DRAENOR. Now this may just seem very 'meh' and 'rehash' for lots of pre-Wrath players who were there when the Outlands got introduced, but for a Wrath baby such as myself this is just awesome to have it re-released. Additionally if you're also a crazy roleplayer like me, if you've got a Draenei or an Orc, then you're gonna have a whale of a time.
- GARRISONS. I haven't been expecting this or looking forward to it, but it's neat non the less; it's basically a personal home which other players can go to, which would be PERFECT for roleplaying, absolutely.
- OLD KEY CHARACTERS RETURN. Grommash, Durotan, Gul'dan, Ner'zhul... you name it, everyone's gonna be here. Again, awesome for old players or lore freaks like myself.
- INSTANT LEVEL 90? Now when I saw this I may have WTFed slightly... I mean, I thought the scroll of resurrection, instant level 80 thing was a little odd, but this? Geez... Not that I don't understand why they're doing it. I do perfectly understand the fact that old players who are massively behind want to catch up but not have to grind all over again, which is fair enough, as it is for raiders who want an alt. But it just seems a little... too good of a deal I guess, for new players. I mean, we're going to have people who have NEVER played before suddenly becoming Level 90. Now remember what it's like when you're level 15, you go into your dungeon group and find out your tank is a Restoration Druid wearing cloth intellect gear in cat form. Not massively bad trouble as level 15 dungeons are easy anyway, but... at level 90, seeing a player running around in agility gear while resto and queuing as tank? Not looking forward to that... plus they miss out on the leveling aspect (the main aspect of the game) completely mostly...
- NEW STATS + RETIRING OF OLD STATS. I can see why getting rid of hit and expertise would be the biggest sense of joy for some people, but... I'm gonna miss those guys. Does this mean we have a 100% chance to hit now? I assume they'll do something for dual-wield so they still have a chance of missing but still... seems a little odd considering I'd grown accustomed to it, as had everyone else. Also, new stats include Movement speed and cleave? Cleave is basically where a damaging attack can have a chance to hit other nearby enemies. Sounds good, but movement speed to me sounds a little pointless, apart from dodging fire in raids... a little unnecessary.
