That's what I'm getting from this. Or is he talking about that treasure that Buggy was interested in back in Impel Down?
Because that's the first thing we (or at least I anyway) think of when anything that can 'shake the core' and 'national treasure' are mentioned. There are many things that can shake the world to its core like ancient weapons, great mass murder weapon or many other things, why does it have to necesarily be one piece, I dont get people lol.
but Law had no knowledge on the 'national treasure'It's not the One Piece. Doflamingo's words indicate that the people of the world don't know what he's talking about exists, for the most part. Whitebeard let the world know One Piece exists at Marineford.
I'm willing to bet it's something related to the Will of D., which is why Doflamingo got so pissed when Law mentioned the Will of D. at the Iron Bridge. It was like Law saying "Haha I know what you want, and you can't have it."
Eh, the last part of my post is wrong, but I still think it has something to do with the Will of D. It's still possible Law found out something about the Will of D., which is why he mentioned it, and inadvertently pissed Doffy off because it has something to do with the goal Law robbed from him. I personally believe it may be an Ancient Weapon, the same one Crocodile was looking for. Doflamingo may have found about Crocodile's criminal plans to find Pluton due to his pull in the criminal underworld, and that's why he wanted to team up with him at Alabasta. This would increase the strength in parallelism people have found between the Dressrosa and Alabasta arcs.but Law had no knowledge on the 'national treasure'
maybe Corazon was Doffy's half brother or something and he was actually one of the Ds, it could also explain why his name is hidden cause Corazon being his real name seems unlikely
Kinda like how you claim the things you have no information on definitely can't allow him to rule the world. It is not information on the Will of D or Void Century because Doflamingo also said that it would allow him to rule the world. I would say that it is the Ancient Weapon Uranus.
1. The Rio Poneglyph already serves that purpose.Kinda like how you claim the things you have no information on definitely can't allow him to rule the world.
1. Proof the national treasure isn't the Rio Poneglyph?1. The Rio Poneglyph already serves that purpose.
2. Why would Doflamingo need the powers of the Ope Ope no Mi to get to it if it was just information, wouldn't he already have that information in his head and therefore not need the fruit?
3. If it is just information why doesn't Doflamingo reveal it to the public if it will allow him to rule the world?
But the Rio Poneglyph is located on Raftel. Besides, if it was the Rio Poneglyph why didn't the Gorosei destroy it? The Rio Poneglyph tells what happened during the Void Century, which the Gorosei don't want anyone to find out. If the Rio Poneglyph was in Mariejois they would have destroyed it since it only brings harm to them.1. Proof the national treasure isn't the Rio Poneglyph?
2-3. Perhaps he needs the Ope Ope no Mi to have his personality transferred into a Celestial Dragon to gain access to the Poneglyph. Perhaps he needs to have the Ope Ope no Mi because the Poneglyph is locked away in some impenetrable safe, vault or barrier, and he needs Shambles to get it. Perhaps he needs the immortality the fruit gives to gain access to the Poneglyph.
The information Doflamingo has is what the National Treasure is. It's possible that if the National Treasure is the Rio Poneglyph, or another Poneglyph, that means the information Doflamingo has is that the Rio Poneglyph exists, and where it is, but not what it says. It's possible he knows that the Poneglyph tells the location of one of the Ancient Weapons, how to use it, and how to get to that location, because it has the Void History on it which reveals all of this information. Perhaps you either need to be a D. or an Ohara scholar to decipher it. This could also be why Doflamingo wanted Violet's powers so bad. Since Doflamingo isn't a D., and there are no Ohara scholars left alive aside from Robin, he needs her clairvoyant powers so she can read it to him, and he can find the weapon.
The thing is, we don't have enough information on what the National Treasure is to say this isn't right. Saying the National Treasure is a Poneglyph is just as correct as saying it's not, and also just as wrong. None of us can make that call yet, and rule out that it is or isn't a Poneglyph or related to the Will of D. and the Void Century.
Why would the general population care about an ancient kingdom that was destroyed ?Maybe they have a document detailing(though idk why they would but a lot of criminals keep incriminating things) the destruction of the Ancient Kingdom and whatever it was Ohara had figured out.
Because it shows the hostility and savagry of the WG, it shows the deceitfulness, why do you think they desperately didn't want Ohara knowing, because then more people would know and the core belief in the WG would be shook and less people would blindly follow them, some may even join the revolutionaries. Why would the general population care about an ancient kingdom that was destroyed ?
If the Rio is the National Treasure, then that in itself says why they haven't destroyed it. It's a national treasure, it's sacred to them. Perhaps they have the weapon hidden and need the Rio so in case something happens, and they need the weapon, they can use it. What if during the Void Century, something happened to threaten the WG and the Tenryuubito, and they did some savage stuff. Like, completely evil, Hitler-style shit that if the world knew about, they'd never listen to them again and overthrow them. That's why they'd need to keep the Rio so heavily secret, because even though it contains information that could destroy them, it is also sacred to them and contains something they need and can't afford to have lost. But the Rio Poneglyph is located on Raftel. Besides, if it was the Rio Poneglyph why didn't the Gorosei destroy it? The Rio Poneglyph tells what happened during the Void Century, which the Gorosei don't want anyone to find out.
