He didnt throw it from konoha...He did what tobi/hashi/hiruzen did to arrive there, only he threw his kunai first to arrive faster than the rest.

Well, considering that body flicker makes him so fast that he's virtually untraceable, I'd say yes. He probably travels as fast as a bullet at least.

As for the Sonic Vs Minato debate. Sonic would win. He ran from 1 end of a continent to another in what appears to be seconds. As well, as run so fast, that his speed countered a weapon that spins so fast, that it tears apart reality or something like that (I don't remember the issue well). Sonic's counter for FTG is having a chaos emerald and using Chaos Control.

Shunshin actually doesn't take much chakra, and if you noticed, the Hokae got there before Sasuke, and the rest of the non-Edo's haven't even shown up yet.
But yes, there's something fishy, as it was stated by Maito Gai that it would take 3 days to get from Konoha to the Land of Rivers, which is approximately the same distance away from Konoha as the battlegrounds. Now, of course this was without Shunshin, but that would mean that Shunshin increases one's natural speed by a minimum of three fold, assuming they left a full day before they arrived, and because I don't want to go into the math, someone else can discuss how fast they'd be going at their guess as to how long they've been travelling.
