So I never heard of *********** until recently, until you guys posted some threads about it.
Overall I like it better because some of the dialogue suites the characters like when the Kyuubi calls himself a sexy bastard and the lines Obito says makes more sense like ''It was Minatos and Kushinas anniversary tomorrow'' instead of ''It was rins and Kushinas anniversary tomorrow''

Does Mangapanda have mistranslations? Another example is when Obito mentions he cannot use Kumui because of the Juubi. Why can't he use the Kumui because of the Juubi, that makes no sense why he couldn't, another example of Obito is the famous line of why Kakashi asks Obito why he became what he is today which the *********** makes more sense.

Mangapanda - ''It's because you let Rin die!''

*********** - ''You let Rin die'' - This makes more sense because it shows Rin was the catalyst of Obito rather than people becoming confused of this dialogue

Yes Manga Panda trades some quality for time.

Typically coming out 5+ hours before manga stream; however does have occasional errors.

For example, a few chapters ago, they speak about Minato having deflected the Juubi's blast, but Mangapanda actually put the Kyubi's blast.

I usually read mangapanda when it first comes out and do a re-read through Stream.

Yea manga panda is terrible there was this one scan that made Kakashi's sharingan look faded and look like a regular eye so many people on here made threads and theory's about how Kakashi finally lost his sharingan due to abusing kamui. Im only on this base for the debates and threads not for the manga

They provide the manga faster, this causes less quality translations

Sometimes, panda misses a whole page or dialogues overlapping over the other page. For example:

MangaPanda has countless mistakes in their translations, their English is so poor, their grammar is messed up.

*********** is much closer to the VIZ and the original japanese text than the MangaPanda. here is an example:

VIZ
"But when Itachi was only four years old...
...The third great ninja war took place

***********

MangaPanda

compare the two. *********** is closer to the VIZ than the MangaPanda.
MangaPanda didn't say itachi was 4 but instead Barely.

Mangapanda is usually prone to mistranslations, simply because they work on the newest chapters quickly in order to be one of the first scanlation groups to release it. As such, the quality of these chapters and their translations are sacrificed.

I typically read the Mangapanda versions first, just to gain an initial understanding of the chapter, and then read the *********** versions later for more clarity. Whenever Viz releases their translations or volumes, I usually read those and consider them to be the 'absolute' version, even though most of the dialogue is Americanized.

***********, as many others have mentioned before, is the best fan-based translation group. Their only downfall is that more than often they try extremely hard to sound 'poetic', thus occasionally complicating the translation and causing their releases to be slower. But in general, their work is spot-on and has the best scan quality.

Mangapanda, in comparison, is known for having the quickest releases but it leaves you with only a gist of the actual dialogue. Also I've noticed that they do not translate the names of various jutsu like *********** does; they only give the transliteration.

I usually read the Mangapanda version when it comes out in the wee hours of the morning, and then I read the *********** version in the afternoon. I have found that reading the translations from two different groups allows you to obtain a better understanding of what the original Japanese text conveyed. After all, two heads are better than one ;]

Oh yeah, and to everyone talking trash about Mangapanda, please keep it to yourself. Thanks to them, we can read a decent translation of the Naruto manga every week hours before any other group translates it [FOR FREE]. Give credit where its due and stop acting like you're entitled to something.
