I do like the idea but me being the skeptic that i am.... He is also edo tensei, unlimited chakra and unlimited damage to his body without feeling side affects. Remember how we saw Nagato able to use all of the pains abilities? Well what if because Minato is in Edo he can transport something as big and powerful as the ten tails tailed beast ball? do not forget a zetsu clone is also being used as the catalyst for minatos body thus he has some hint of Senju DNA to utilize (if he can of course) he may not have ben able to do that in his actual life as something that powerful could take up alot of chakra. it is the same wih orochimaru. He knew Snake senjutsu but each body other than his original could not handle the stress. Minato died young perhaps his younger body just couldnt handle that strong of a jutsu

It's dumb to say Minato "stopped a Bijuudama with a Kunai"... he has a space/time barrier, it's far from the most haxed technique. It just happens to be the perfect technique to deal with a Bijuudama (regardless of the Bijuudama's size).

Minato is also able to use unlimited chakra in his current Edo state, which is more beneficial for him than for Madara/Hashirama, since they have more chakra than he does under normal circumstances. So yeah, he'll get to hang with the big boys for once in his life...
