I've always thought Guy is actually the biggest counter to Madara in the entire manga, which this chapter pretty much confirmed.

Nah, Kishimoto himself has said that Madara has no weakness. Where did you see Madara weak against taijutsu? He is "weak" only against Gai's one-hit attacks but those will obviously not work.

I could only see Gai trying to beat Obito with the 8th gate since it gives him Kage-strength for 5 minutes...and for how long can Obito use the intangibility? 5 minutes

They are talking about the Edo Tensei when they refer to weakness. They don't mean that Madara's specific weakness is Taijutsu, they are basically saying its the only thing that can hurt him because he has the Rinnegan that absorbs and the Edo Tensei that regenerates.
