People who have a understanding of how race is viewed in society and entertainment and see its racially insensitive and racial stereotyping care. Though the later is soo obvious.Huh.... who cares?
That's what you're implying. You're saying Bee shouldn't be a rapper because he's black. You're faulting kishi for making a black rapper when there's no correlation between that and racism. You can't call it racists because that's not what racism is. Black people just so happen to be good at rapping irl so what's wrong with them being rappers in fiction? What was Bee supposed to be? A ballerina? His rapping makes him unique as a character and the color of his skin fits his rapping characteristicobviously no what are you talking about.
Very awkward. I was not happy when entering this thread. U_Uyou should fix the title the way you spelled rapper can make this very awkward...:erm:
i didnt call it racist, i said it was racial insensitivity and racial stereotyping both of those are facts. That's what you're implying. You're saying Bee shouldn't be a rapper because he's black. Insensitive how? Are you offended by most of the real life rappers being black? Is being a rapper a bad thing now? Would it be any different if Killer Bee was white?i didnt call it racist, i said it was racial insensitivity and racial stereotyping both of those are facts.
its insensitive when black people are rarely in anime but when they are, they are put in it with stereotypes when all the other races don't have stereotypes added to their character it offends many black people not all but surely many therefore it is racially insensitive.Very awkward. I was not happy when entering this thread. U_U
Anyways yes it's a stereotype but it's in no way insensitive, are the majority of rappers not black?
Rock Lee, Guy, (they're basically Bruce Lee) and Tenuichi (closed eyes, shop owner, good at making ramen) are all asian stereotypes :| you're literally the first black person to complain about this shitits insensitive when black people are rarely in anime but when they are, they are put in it with stereotypes when all the other races don't have stereotypes added to their character it offends many black people not all but surely many therefore it is racially insensitive.
Lots of kumo nin are black, darui, omoi, maubi, raikages, etc. So they aren't rare.its insensitive when black people are rarely in anime but when they are, they are put in it with stereotypes when all the other races don't have stereotypes added to their character it offends many black people not all but surely many therefore it is racially insensitive.
More great examples.Rock Lee, Guy, (they're basically Bruce Lee) and Tenuichi (closed eyes, shop owner, good at making ramen) are all asian stereotypes :| you're literally the first black person to complain about this shit
Killer bee was the first "black" character shown.and he raps.it's easy to see OPs pointThat's one way of looking at it. But there are some people that will say why are Caucasians and Asians the only people in manga and anime. And cloud nin were shown before killer bee was introduced. Darui, omoi, karui and A don't rap. Killer bee being the only one rapping may not be enough to conclude that kishi is being a stereotypical racist.
i didnt call it racist, i said it was racial insensitivity and racial stereotyping both of those are facts.
The point is some black get offended I Have seen it it's true deny it all you want but it's true.Lots of kumo nin are black, darui, omoi, maubi, raikages, etc. So they aren't rare.
Most women are weak, so having a weak female character is gender insensitivity going by your logic. The female stereotype of being weaker than males is there, yet you make no mention of it despite it following your logic.
Just because black people are good at rapping doesn't mean it's insensitive to make a black character who raps.
Now, if kishi made every single black character in the manga a rapper then that definitely would be insensitivity, because they're not all rappers.
By the way I'm partly black with quite a few black friends who read the manga, none of them cared about bee's rapping.
Who said I was black? And how would you know I am THE FIRST BLACK PERSON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS IF I WAS BLACK.Rock Lee, Guy, (they're basically Bruce Lee) and Tenuichi (closed eyes, shop owner, good at making ramen) are all asian stereotypes :| you're literally the first black person to complain about this shit
Well then they must be really insecure about their racial background if having one rapping black character offends them. The point is some black get offended I Have seen it it's true deny it all you want but it's true.
I could have swore you said you were, either that or I'm confusing you with that chluoe dude. Either way I meant you were the first person on NB to complain about that. Killer B is awesome, rapping is awesome, it hasn't been portrayed negatively (Killer B isn't a gangsta thug or anything), I see no problems here.Who said I was black? And how would you know I am THE FIRST BLACK PERSON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS.
I have anserwwd how it is insensitive several times and I won't do it again I you want the anserw search for it in the thread.Rapping is a part of Black Urban Music and even Hip-hop themes are a major contributor of Graffiti Culture. Killer Bee is one guy that raps out of all of the other Black people shown in hidden Cloud. Why is it wrong to depict one character associated with something that is in ways an integral part of Black Music Culture?
I am unsure whether you know what insensitivity is.
