So...just kinda curious..

Lets say(in part 1, I'm talking), that Itachi and Kisame show up to capture Naruto and Jiraiya doesn't come to his rescue..what would have happened in that scenario? Does Itachi allow Naruto to get taken to the Akatsuki hide out? Does he step in then and get rid of Kisame? Cause, while we didn't know it then, he wasn't "evil".

So..what happens then?

Compared to the Naruto we know now and the cone in part one. It would have been more convenient to take him. But I don't really know for sure because Jiraiya-sama would have found them out sooner or later. I think Jiraiya-sama knows more than he lets on. I think that's his advantage.
