The fact alone that Obito visited Konoha proves that he knew about Kurama.
Even if Kakashi hadn't said anything, Obito would have still aquired this information - via Zetsu or otherwise.

Was Kakashi careless to say such things aloud? Most likely.

Actually, no, it wasn't his fault.

Kakashi never knew where the birth is going to take place. He just new that it will take place.
