Nothing was mentioned if Shukaku stayed with Gaara , but since he have connection with him, probably he is . I just wonder how come Naruto didnt sense that Bee was in danger ?

On hindsight...yeah, you're right. He said "its been a while", I don't know where I got 'years' from. My bad.

But still, the fact that Urashiki stated there are only two Jinchuuriki around at the moment still points to the fact that he's not hosting the Shukaku. I'm standing by that.

Gaara didn't sense Bee's danger either. It was Shukaku who sensed it and informed Gaara. This could imply that the jinchuuriki doesn't sense this kind of stuff, but the bijuu does. That would be why Naruto didn't sense it.

However, that doesn't explain why Kurama (or any of the other bijuus) didn't sense anything and report it to Naruto.

If you want to be realistic and logical here, you would know that Gaara IS NOT a jinchuuriki because he would’ve been in the same position as Bee right now. Meaning that he would be killed/missing before the chuunin exam.

There's also the part where Gaara points out that Shukaku isn't all that close with him, so why would Shukaku bind himself to Gaara? The only thing that struck me as odd is why Shukaku would notify Gaara instead of Naruto or Kurama. He placed things into Gaara's hands despite having his own concerns. Either Shukaku favors Gaara over Naruto indicating a possibility of the two being together or Shukaku's pride got in the way. Don't skimp over the fact that the aliens don't know everything.

He only latched on to Shukaku because he still had Shukaku's chakra in him. Think it was corroborated by Kishi as well in a db.

OT: He might be.. Gaara says Shukaku never initiates contact meaning Gaara has probably been the one to start up discussions and if we say its referring to early Shippuden then it would seem weird for Gaara to only say its been a while.. Not to mention how would Shukaku be able to contact Gaara in a Jin mindscape?

Then again, Urashiki says there are only two Jins so i might be completely wrong lol... Pretty sure we'll figure it out next episode anyways.

No, he isn't, Momo said there were 2 jinchurikis on the planet, Bee and Naruto.
Gaara and Shukaku are linked by ninshuu/chakra.
If gaara was jin he would talk to his friend shukaku everyday, hosting your friend for years but never talking to him is a torture to you and your friend.
