For me true potential of Yata is not being test yet, but still I can said if this weapon having a same mandate as Kamui as the authority of god where's it power is transcendent, that mean by how it is spiritual or non corporeal weapon which it can change its shape according to the situation, that mean it can cover it users all around and also defend the user from any attack.
