So if you are marked by the Hirashin seal, you are a gonner?

Isnt is supposed to last forever? Then, why didn't Minato kill Obito?

I mean even Sagebito is having a hard time against it - even if he is nerfed down due to plot.

Your thoughts?

Edo Minato was still there and Obito still had the seal prior to turning Juubi

Because minato wanted to save as many of the ninja as he could and couldn't waste anymore time on him. If he would of survived the attack then yes obito would of been dead long ago

Pretty much, yes. The user can strike at any time, even if it's months later, and the target would be caught by surprise.

The only reason Minato didn't finish Obito off was because he needed to divert his attention to the Kyuubi. As far as he was concerned, forcing Obito to retreat was good enough as opposed to using more of his time to pursue him whilst Konoha got destroyed.

I'm sure if Minato had survived after that night, he would have gone onto defeating Obito at a later point.

Minato wanted to save the village from the ninetails. He had already injured obito and stopped his control over kurama. Saying this, if minato had lived past that day, he wold have killed obito

Yes, Ftg users could just do a surprise assassination while your lying on your bed sleeping and never waking up ever again.

Plot. Minato also wanted to deal with Kurama first. In addition, not really.. if you have Susano'o or Kamui, I would say you can survive even when marked.

Obito has kamui. He's been hit 5 times so far. Susano or kamui wont save you from being getting raped in your sleep.
