Instead though what we got was a Mitsuki chapter that basically explains the superiority of genes
Something Kabuto couldn't fully achieve has been done with Mitsuki at a young age.

Himawari is able to fully seal all chakra points at a ridiculously young age as well due to high quality genes.

And now we also see Boruto reaching new hights as well.

Heck that new rival who destroyed Konoha have theories of him being a project of Naruto and Sasuke dna.

Orochimaru basically also sent Mitsuki towards Boruto due to knowing the success of bloodline inheritance. Saying Boruto was Mitsuki's Sun and Mitsuki the moon.

Both compliment each other! One of the reasons why Orochimaru sent Mitsuki to Boruto and another reason as to why he himself went forward with (clone) children. (He is interested in Boruto as he is interested in Sasuke, without the whole taking him thing)

Plus in the Scarlat Spring spinoff Orochimaru basically emphasised the importants of good genes only for some people to scuff at it later. Well who is laughing now.

Toneri, Madara, Kaguya, blah, blah, blah all kept on blabbering about genes this and genes that but in the end they were all right and even the beakon of hope Naruto turned out to be a gene poster boy then anything else.


I mean currently some people have new potiential we can't imagine while others are just mixes and alas have a cap

True true, I like Mitsuki but he should have remained unique, I don't like the idea of every shinobi requiring the power of Ootsutsuki to be Kage level. I miss the days of Hiruzen, Jiraiya and Akatsuki where there were normal shinobi with exceptional talent and abilities.

nobody is a genius for stating the obviousness of how genetics work, but inheriting someone's gene pool doesn't guarantee the offspring will have their parents' talents for something or even become better than them overall.

in Gaiden Orochi didn't give a care for Sarada and in the anime he didn't make Mitsuki keep a eye on her

and in the Mitsuki one shot again he didn't send mitsuki on a mission to stalk her
