If Itachi was capable of wiping the entire clan out by himself(yeah yeah yeah, Tobi, but we haven't seen Tobi do shit from that night), exactly how did they expect to take over Konoha? I'm supposed to believe this clan could have overpowered Konoha, who had the likes of Hiruzen, Danzo, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Gai, Ino-Shika-Cho(parents), etc, etc, etc?

Well then, color me skeptical.

Irregardless, the entire clan couldn't have been asleep. Hell, Sasuke was away training..surely he's not the only uchiha awake at that time.
