1. Conor didn't train for wrestling at all because of a knee injury
2. You only think it's an early stoppage because it was close to the end of the round. A fighter shoyldn't be intentionally given another round just because the bell is close. Curling up in a ball isn't " intelligently defending"
3. Conor is aldo's worst matchup. Honestly i'm more worried about frankie or mendes 2 than aldo.

They're both strikers and it's difficult to pick between them but thing is Aldo dominated Mendes not once but twice, Mcgregor didn't. Plus one just can't beat Aldo on the stand up, you got to take him to the ground and I wonder if McGregor can do that cause wrestling isn't his thing really.
Nonetheless I'm thrilled for this I don't even know who to bet my money on. it's so similar to my favorite fight of all time: Silva vs Chael.

Mendes Aldo 1 saw aldo cheat and grab the cage otherwise he woulda got slammed. Immediately after, he catches mendes with a good kick ko.

Mendes Aldo 2 saw pretty much even striking from both. Aldo didn't come close to the stand up beat down Conor put on mendes. If you re-watch that fight, mendes was wobbled in the first round.

That 74" reach makes this a no brainer stand up win for conor. I also don't see Jose being better than mendes in takdowns/ G&P

just so you know 99% of the time you don't fight the number 1 or 2 ranked guy to fight the champion. They do it that way so fresh contenders don't get killed off. 2nd Conor will destroy Frankie. 3rd he was dominated in the first 2 rounds up until the ko because he didn't train for wrestling. His knee was injured and he couldn't train. He didn't pull out of the fight like aldo did from a previous injury. He also didn't run away from a drug test.

Eh, ima just love the fight because of the men, Jose also has been champion for awhile and Connor McGregor and I are just alike. To see him win and dethrone also was be amazing.
