I said he wasn't going to learn Chidori, not that he wasn't going to use lightning. He's going to use something we haven't seen before. Sasuke will probably guide him in creating a technique for himself; Boruto is a prodigy after all so I'm sure he'll develop his own lightning jutsu.

Ok my bad and yeah I agree, Bolt is not going to learn Chidori, and it'll be stupid if he's going to learn carbon copy chidori. Afterall, he's a prodigy so I'm sure he's going to perfected his own style which I think it'll be cool if he mastered a lightning mix with Kaiton and rasengan.

Raikiri is just a Chidori.
Kakashi's Chidori is just called Raikiri as a nickname, meaning Lightning Cutter. It got that nickname because Kakashi was seen cutting through Lightning with his Chidori, thus making Kakashi's Chidori get classified as an S-rank technique. Sasuke has shown a more complete mastery of the technique and it has been shown throughout the series that Raikiri and Chidori are interchangeable

No Raikiri is not Chidori. They have their own name, rank, classifications, and hand seals. Do we read the same manga?

Chidori and Raikiri are basically the same thing and is used exactly the same, the only difference is the execution, Raikiri simply has a stronger and a much better cutting level than chidori

Raikiri?

Why just not Chidori :)

Raikiri is simply better version of Chidori, so pretty much same thing.
OT: I agree, only through some complete BS-story of how he has a Byakugan that reverts to his normal blue eyes should it be possible; unless Kishi gives him Hiraishin, in which case it could be used for Hiraishingiri or replace the Rasengan in Hiraishin: Ni no Dan.

Sasuke doesn't know Raikiri. He uses the weaker Chidori.
Sasuke's chidori > Raikiri. Sasuke's chidori is basically the same as raikiri he just keeps the name chidori. The deidara fight made that clear.

smh.

chidori and raikiri are same. kakashi named it raikiri because he used chidori to cut lightning.

chidori itself is already strong enough to tame lightning. pardon me, sasuke himself is already strong enough to tame lightning, using chidori.

I disagree.
Chidori is less focused.
Raikiri is a more focused version of chidori.

Raikiri is more focused. Essentially it was likely made when kakashi tried to finish minatos rasengan(adding elements to it)

Kakashi had already used and named chidori. However he eventually made a more advanced chidori(raikiri) and it did not have a name until he allegedly cut a lightning bolt.

Notice how sasuke never ever calls his technique raikiri. That is because chidori and raikiri are a bit different.

Granted the difference between raikiri and chidori is not that major. But they are different techniques.

lol, that is a very outdated notion. They are the same jutsu but Kakashi's gained another nickname, and yes it was stronger in part 1. However Sasuke took Chidori to a whole other level, by the end of the manga

Sasuke's Chidori >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kakashi's Raikiri.

Hopefully with Sasuke's mastery of Lightning Release he'll teach Boruto how to manifest his own technique. Unfortunately, seeing as Kishi is a big fan of the "Master > Student" technique tradition, he'll give Boruto the Chidori and Sarada the Rasengan (if Naruto becomes her Sensei).

Baruto should learn that lightning armor technique the Raikage uses that and those 2 modes that he uses that boasts his speed and strength not some fodder jutsu Chidori

I doubt he'll get either of those two jutsus.

Probably something more modern to his era.

He's gonna need a huge amount of chakra for that too.

Boruto should learn lightning style from his uncle Bee.
