Based on the fact that even EMS Madara was pretty far behind Hashirama, how much further do you think he was in front of Tobirama?

They fought for 24 hours non stop, what other shinobi could do it while fighting against someone as strong as you besides Madara or Hashirama? And when Madara collapsed do you think Hashirama was ok? It's not like he was standing lauging, he was sitting, damaged and tired.

Remember it was EMS Madara vs Hashirama, Tobirama, Senju. Not Hashirama vs Madara.

Hashirama was still on the go though, tired yes but Madara was lying on the floor unable to move, but yeah Madara is the only one who ever came anywhere near to Hashirama's power.

Madara himself knew he was no match for Hashirama so he went and took the trouble of fetching Kuruma but still Hashirama made Kuruma + P.S look like a mouse in front of Elephant IMO

I would say both Tobirama was not so far behind Madara but can't say they were equals
