Anyone else think that Sound jutsu is one of the best style techniques? Like, ever? Why don't more ninja use this!?

Dosu was a boss and only lost to Gaara because of plot and didn't even attack him, just stood there and took it (for some reason?)

Tayuya! TAYUYA'S JUTSU WAS INCREDIBLE. Probably one of the best genjutsus in the show, give it to a more talented ninja and there you have a serious threat. Kabuto uses the same jutsu against Itachi and Sasuke and it got THEM. Sound can even pierce the strongest Susanoo, stopping you in your tracks.

So what exactly CAN counter sound? It's basically everywhere. Unless you happen to be a deaf ninja (none of these exist) or happen to bring a spare pair of earbuds to every fight conveniently (nobody does this) you're basically screwed everytime.

Even this doesn't work, because the liquid in your body is a great way to transmit sound.

The only way to win against close-range sound is to attack with long-range, which is exactly why Gaara won so easily (that and he was possessed by Shukaku that night).

Sound is one of the best if it can catch you off gaurd. Even jiraiya used some boss sound genjutsu vs pain However some of the best techniques are kept secret from other villages for a reason. I don't think they have much information on it. When shikimaru got info he brought ear plugs with him though.

Pffft yeah? Sound pierces susanoo. If Sasuke wasn't there then Tayuya's jutsu would've paralysed Itachi and in seconds Kabuto would've wiped his memory- instantly winning the fight.

Run out of the range of the sound.. eventually if you go far enough you won't be hearing it anymore

Do a jutsu that makes a sound louder than the one causing genjutsu.... eg, chidori when used auses loud bird chirping noises.. (not saying this would work at all) but if it's possible to make noise louder than the incoming one.. it should work..

gouge out your eardrums....
