When Obito was explaining the plan he said he wants to host the juubi to magnify his power so he can use the infinite tsukuyomi.Magnify not gain.Which means he has the ability.

And since Obito pretended to be Madara we can assume that he was talking about Madara abilities.That's why Obito needs Madara resurrected,cause even if he(Obito) was to become the juubi host he can't cast tsukuyomi cause he doesn't have the ability.

Obito had a stockpile of eyes remember? he could have found another one with the same MS properties as Itachi's. He also had an eye that was powerful enough to trap yagura (a perfect jinjuriki) in genjutsu.

And obito wasnt talking about madara's abilities, because at that point he was doing things solely on his own. After Nagato died obito had his own plan and decided to give up on reviving madara.

Tell me what madara meant by "you need both eyes to awaken their full potential" then? because to me that sounds like you just need both eyes to awaken susanoo, the final power...The result of two mangekyo sharingan

Yes he does, Danzo stated it. Just it is nowhere near Itachi's level. Madara does have it, why wouldn't he? His plan is called the Eye of the Moon which involves Tsukoyomi... And he used it on Obito when showing him the plan.

If Obito's eye posses the ability of either amaterasu or tsukuyomi don't you think that Kakashi and he would have either one of those??
I don't disagree that you need both eyes to awake the full potential but that doesn't mean that Obito will obtain Susano'o if he has both and therefore amaterasu and tsukuyomi.
If it did he would haunt down Kakashi to take his eye back.

Obito didnt need nagato, he just needed the rinnegan so he can effectively control the gedo statue. He was planning to continue the plan without madara. Obito didnt need madara either(in fact, madara needs obito)

And youre not listening to my main point. Obito has a collection of eyes....he could easily find one with a genjutsu similar to tsukuyomi. And anyways its already stated that susanoo is a rarity. Which means that not all eyes would get it, obito's eyes probably dont have it, and shisui's eyes definitely dont have it.
