Make yourself presentable. Getting hired is basically selling yourself to a company. My cousin got hired on the spot during an interview just because he came in dressed with a suit while everyone else dressed casually.

Also, make sure you apply directly through the manager. Asking employees for a job application seems awkward for them, they don't want any extra competition.

Oh, yeah. At the age, your still in high school. No one these days are looking for Part-timers, only full-timers.

Also, military is not for everyone. Benefits are good, but pay is little unless active or higher-rank.

You would only have to be apart of the Navy organization for 4 years, and then you would of saved a ton of money while reaping all of the benefits like the Thrift Savings Plan, and Montgomery G.I. Bill. (for college)
