Just finished episode 2 and it's pretty good to me. They have excellent villains the Meachums are so hate-able and if they go further into the story between him and Danny's dad like in the comic he can get even greasier. The dad is a good fit, I can't remember what I've seen him in but I'm liking him in this. One of the things that makes the Meachums so greasy is they don't even notice the hypocrisy of their morals, the sister says at one point "If it's Danny then what we're doing to him is shitty" no ***** it's shitty no matter who it is, why would it only become shitty if you ended up knowing the person? They are right up there with Cottonmouth and Purple Man if you ask me, the key to a good villain is getting a good actor for the part and as I said above the Dad does really well the son and daughter are good too.
The fight scenes have been pretty good so far. The Chinese parade scene was very well done I thought. The Colleen scene with her students wasn't so clean. I like that they keep using the set up of small fight areas it helps the fight scenes I think, can't wait for this series' hallway fight, they've all had one lol.
I saw a lot of people saying the dialogue was slow but I haven't noticed any real issues. There's some cheese in the dialogue at parts but there's always gonna be cheese in a comic show it comes with the territory.
Current review; optimistic.
Just finished ep. 4, HALLWAY FIGHT!!!!! Knew it'd be there eventually. The soundtrack is good. I heard Run the Jewels in 4 and pretty sure I heard some Doom in 3. And them Colleen fights.
Ep. 5 - Rosario Dawson is the official Stan Lee of the Netflix Marvel Universe and they need to keep her in any future projects.
