so far during my final fantasy ix (9) first playthrough , i tried the low level until disc 4 but i screwed up


im on disc 2 cage with steiner and marko

edit, i loaded a previous save i had and tried to do better
zidane - lv 1

dagger - lv 1

vivi - lv 4 = lv 1

steiner- lv 1

Freya - lv 11 = lv 19

Quina - lv 7 = lv 18



im planning to get the highest stats possible, so tell me how hard is Ozma ? and how bad did i ruin vivi?

i died and had to reset so many times, ff9 feels very annoying at this point in the game lol

i beat ff4 gba version , ff7 (max stats), ff8 squall (max stats)

im planning to get ffx hd collection

I'm confused, by lv 1 do you actually mean 1 or 100? I'm not at my house right now so I know these aren't the exact numbers, but almost all my characters are around 30-40, and I just arrived at the marsh where you acquire Quina.

in disc 4 you get stat boasting weapons that when you level up, you get more stats with it equipped.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm just gonna start over though so I can get higher stats later on. Plus I haven't played in a while so reliving the story up to that point will be nice.

Excalibur II isn't all that great, it'll just ruin the game IMO.
And I don't really know if there exists such an item that boosts a characters stat point obtainable in disc 4. Forgot.

But on topic, I defeated Ozma @ level 99 with my party having 5 to 7kish hp. You just have to complete the friendly monster quest so that Ozma would become susceptible to the shadow element (I think he absorbs it if you fight him without completing the quest). Also, before fighting Ozma make sure your whole party is equipped with Shadow absorbing Armor (forgot which, I played this month's ago) as failing to do so would result in your party getting annihilated by a single Doomsday. Just spam Zidane's Thievery skill and he'll die in no time -have all ultimate weapons also and ribbons-.

if your planning a low level game then follow that youtube video playthrough

sometimes you get into forced battles , which can give you exp, which is bad. the low level game takes a lot of resetting .

The one where you fight the armored vehicle LAV - Type G Custom? I use the sneaking suit and hold up - fulton mine the enemy troops but whenever the fourth or fifth batch of soldiers appear they always seem to detect me... Scraping that method, I decided to tackle the platoon equipped with a Battle Dress w/ Helmet, Gustav Rank 4, Law Rank 4, and a short barrel armor piercing machine gun but I always die with the Vehicle having only two bars of damage. I need help or I might just give up and play acid instead. Sorry for not being on topic.

Wtf dude I've completed every FF game(except the spin offs and that online one)and I've never seen anything like this. It seems like a waste honestly, you have to basically run away from all your fights because the exp would lvl you up. To each his own of course but this just seems like it wouldn't be a fun way to play.

its insane, you have to use stop, or escape and reset alot, also you have to be equipped right, i have have never done something like this before

i only made it to disc 2 after beatrix battle 3, those damn type c black mages are evil


i did simpler version, where i dont level up who i want to be in my final party

its an old game, some people even did level 1 whole game challenge also lv 1 vs ozma
