to me gaaras hair is maroon. sasories is a strong touch of pink and gaaras dad aswell. usumakis red hair looks blood red or a very strong red or bright red..its very distinguishable.

Every Uzumaki has red hair, not everyone with red hair is an Uzumaki

it's genes. Naruto IS an Uzumaki, but not a pure-blooded Uzumaki. His mother had a child from a man outside the clan. so yeah, it needs to be two people within the clan to get the red hair... unless it's a man outside the clan who also happens to have red hair

I was waiting for someone to say this, that can't be correct because it would be incest for them to always get married and have children within the clan, and:

1. I'm pretty Kishi wouldn't promote that in his manga for fear of critics and getting sue'd

2. Although the Uzumaki may not always be the brightest bulbs they are clearly not retarded or deformed.

So your theory is incorrect. Read over mine again and you will see it makes more sense.

That doesnt mean their aren't exceptions, its still possible for the Uzuamki to inherit their mothers red hair instead of fathers just not as likely. After all then if you put it this way then why did Nagato get the red hair too but Naruto didn't? when Nagato's father clearly didn't have read hair therefore he clearly wasn't uzumaki? at least by your assumption since they all have to have red hair...yeah its weird either way you look at it so I'm sticking with my opinion for now.
