I was assuming each mangekyo has different abilities? Kakashi kamui, shisui ka, etc. Don't u think his susanoo looks different for a reason?

This is due to every Susano'o being different. The reasoning in Sasuke's being anything like Itachi's is more than likely because they are so closely related, and Sasuke now having Itachi's eyes. Also, Madara's Susano'o difference is more than likely due to his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
