actually we never knew just how exactly Madara survived his battle with hashirama only that he did. Turns out he pulled an Itachi and wrote Izanagi into his left to revive him some while after his death.

Tobirama buried his body in a hidden location in the forest. Then Izanagi activated.
Madara revived and black Zetsu showed up.
They left his grave together but not before placing a Kage Bushin of himself into his coffin.
Sometime later when Obito showed up. He died for reals this time, and that is probably when the Kage Bushin vanished
Then Black Zetsu made sure Kabuto found his old dead body.
Everything else is history.

first off it was a time delayed Izanagi and when he used Izanagi he woke up at the place Tobirama or Black Zetsu (depending on the translation) hid the body when he awoke he used a clone then left not a big deal and no ever lasting kage bunshin

plus I assume the reason your calling asspull is because you still think Izangai needs Senju DNA except you know Uchiha used to spam it all the time which is why Izanami was created

You've terribly misunderstood and overcomplicated everything. Madara simply pre-programmed his izanagi to activate after battle, his goal was only to gain Hashirama's dna. Similar to how Itachi programmed amaterasu into sasuke's eye

madara could have eaily copy the jutsu from tobirama he has sharingan which allow him to copy jutsu. and for 3 zetsu clone jutsu is soo good it fooled killer bee and the raikage so with hashirama dna its obvious he can do the same. he knew about hashirama clone jutsu afterall.
